Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is expected to return to first-team training on Monday, after being granted an extended break following the end of the 2024–25 season.
The 27-year-old was absent from United’s initial preseason camp but is now set to link up with the squad as preparations ramp up for the upcoming Premier League campaign under manager Erik ten Hag.
Rashford endured a challenging season last year, with fluctuating form and injury setbacks. However, the club remains hopeful that a full preseason will help the England international rediscover his best level.
“We’re looking forward to having Marcus back with the group,” a club source said. “He’s an important player for us, and this break was part of a planned recovery schedule.”
United are scheduled to play their first preseason friendly next week, and fans will be eager to see whether Rashford is included in the matchday squad.
